The Messaging System Specialist assists in the building and administering enterprise messaging and collaboration systems. To that end, the position requires administration of products, improvement of services, interaction with users, and strategic planning.
Administration of the global messaging architecture and troubleshoot problems. Environment includes Exchange 2010, Enterprise Vault, Lync 2013, BlackBerry and Mobility (MaaS360). Management of security appliances (Proofpoint and Symantec PGP Gateways). Assistance with regular maintenance. Input on server topology. Work with Messaging Team to improve, upgrade and implement improvements to the messaging environment.
Assisting offices, administrators, and users in troubleshooting servers and client issues. Interact with the Support Center to address any inquiries and any open issues.
Tuning and monitoring the Exchange, Lync, BlackBerry and Mobility (MDM solutions) servers and processes. This includes the administration of e-mail and databases. Troubleshoot server errors & interact with Microsoft Technical Support to solve problems in the fastest possible time.
Monitoring for held and dead mail, routing problems, operation of Trend Micro Scan Mail and our anti-spam solution: Proofpoint.
Perform such other responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
